Retaining Dr. Tutty

For Attorneys

How to retain an evaluation, what you'll receive, how fees are structured and how long it takes.

How to Retain

1. Call or send a short inquiry

Call 332-232-3696 or use the form below with a brief description of the matter, the injury and the questions you need answered.

2. Consultation

A short call to confirm that a neuropsychological evaluation, IME or record review fits the case and to define its scope.

3. Cost sheet and retainer

You receive a detailed cost sheet showing the fees and initial retainer for the services involved.

4. Records and scheduling

Records are sent and the all-day testing session is scheduled at 353 Lexington Avenue.

What You Receive

  • A comprehensive written report for counsel, the court and rehabilitation providers
  • Pre-injury baseline, test findings, causation analysis and prognosis
  • Evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation recommendations
  • A feedback session in person or by video
  • Deposition and trial testimony when required

Fees

Fees follow a tier system. Specific amounts are on the cost sheet provided for each matter.

Tier 2

Personal injury evaluations, work product reviews and expert consultation.

Tier 3

Expert testimony, including depositions and trial.

(Tier 1 covers child educational and neuropsychological evaluations, which are not part of personal injury work.)

Timelines

Testing takes one full day. Typically, a full evaluation and report take two to three weeks. Timelines vary with the size of the record and the scope of the case, so if you have a disclosure or trial deadline, raise it in the first call.

Who Refers

Plaintiff attorneys, defense counsel and insurers all retain these evaluations, and the methodology is the same either way. The office also hears directly from injured people who are unsure whether an evaluation would help them.

What Attorneys Say

“We have found Dr. Tutty to be quite thorough in his neuropsych evals for our injured clients, and quite pleased with his deposition and trial services.”

Sam A.Personal Injury Attorney

“Dr. Tutty has approached each IME in an evidence-based manner, which at the end of the day helps both sides figure out the proximate cause of the neurological deficits and steps to take in the rehab process.”
